Chiatuk Route (5582m) Yilpiz Route (5376m)
The Kuksay Glacier is located in the Western Kun-Lun on the eastern side of the Muztagh-Ata Massif and only a few small climbing teams have been there before this expedition. The region is very interesting for climbers because a lot of amazing virgin mountains surround the glacier offering a variety of climbing on very steep snow and ice slopes with icefalls, steep ridges and vertical rock walls. More than ten beautiful peaks of 5300-5800 m are located on the eastern side of the Kuksay Glacier.

September 2007 - Great North Run
Completed for the third time. Unfortunately My brother Jim was to Ill too make the journey up and take part, so we carried a large plastic tub in the chair and tried to collect the equivalent of his body weight in donations on the way round. With money collected on the day and generous sponsorship we raised a healthy sum for Bendrigg Lodge (an outdoor centre in the Lake District that provides outdoor activities for people with disabilities and special needs.

March 2008 - weddings and mountains in New Zealand

Dave has just come back from New Zealand. His brother got married to Liz on the 8th, at an outdoor ceremony on the Kapiti coast. (North Island - just north of Wellington) After which he got off into the mountains with Martin. They managed a succesful ascent of Mt. Aspiring (NW Ridge) as part of a four day expedition that included walking in to and out from the peak. They rounded off a hectic 10 days with an ascent of the Single/Double Cone ridge traverse above the Remarkables ski area (nr Queenstown)
