Introduction to Climbing - An ideal course for those with little or no experience. Learn the basics skills of moving on rock, rope management, belaying, equipment selection and use
and of course climb some great routes.
Improvers Climbing - A course for people with some experience who don't yet feel ready for leading. The small ratios allow this course to be tailored to individual needs and can include opportunities to learn more about anchor selection, setting up belays, dealing with problems and improving your personal climbing.
Learning to Lead - This course is suitable for those who are competent seconds. It will guide you toward safely leading your own climbs, including placing protection, choice of routes, rope techniques and setting up belays.
North Wales Courses
Multi Pitch Climbing - A course for people with some previous climbing experience who want to progress on to bigger things. The small ratios allow this weekend to be tailored to
individual needs and can include opportunities to learn about route finding, stance management and getting to and away from climbs.
Scrambling - Want to do more than just walk! Getting onto steeper terrain where you have to use your hands as well as your feet can be an exciting way to explore the mountains. Both guided scrambles and learning to look after yourself are an option. Opportunities to learn about getting to and from routes, guidebook use, route choice, movement skills, equipment, constructing anchors, belaying and how to retreat.
